The Powerflor USA Stand Alone Cabling System
Was developed with one goal. To provide an alternative cabling infra-structure; that allows the client to manage both the location and service of their connectivity, in the most cost and time effective means possible. Our system is the integration of three sub-systems, power, communication, and floor structure; all provided as completely pre-manufactured elements, totally modular in their application.

satisfied, both upon initial installation as well as future requirements.A System that provides an adaptive environment so that your needs can be easily

A system that is competitive, easy to install, and easy to manage.
At the core of our system is our Floor structure.
We utilize panel support components molded from strength enhanced Poly Carbonate resin.
Adhering four standard 25 cm x 25 cm x 2 5/8” high pedestals to a 50 cm square carpet tile, provides standard panel 50 cm x 50 cm x 3” high, shipped completely assembled

The completed panels are installed “ loose laid “, not attached to the sub-floor or each other.
The four independent pedestals flex across the centerline of the panel, in both directions, allowing the panel to sit firmly on the sub-floor, without rocking.

Installations are completed using our 25 cm x 25 cm x 2 5/8” high perimeter edge components. These units are designed to be easily “ cut to fit “ in the field, providing a floor structure to walls, around columns, or any other obstructions.
Depending upon the space to be filled, the perimeters are used by themselves or in combination with the pedestals.

Our system includes pre-glued carpet tiles for installation on these components, providing a finished floor structure, with minimum on site work. The carpet tiles are pre-glued using our proprietary “ hot melt “ which is protected with removable wax paper sheet.
Access to the floor structure is provided as ramps and rails as required. Standard ramps are provided as 1 / 8, 1 / 12, or 1/ 20 slopes width as required.
Rails can be used to end the floor structure when building elements do not exist. They also can be provided to direct walk ways around ramps.
Electrical Power is integrated into the floor structure using a pre-manufactured electrical system. All components are connected via multi-conductor snap connections ( no hard wiring ) and can be easily installed or changed without rewiring. The system includes a floor box that provides two duplex outlets, as well as two communication outlet mounting locations. The floor boxes are connected to each other to a building power source.

The floor box is provided with two cable assemblies, one
connects to input electrical service and the second connects to output electrical service, providimg box to box service.
When additional cable length is required double connection cables are available in varying lengths.
Each system floor box chain is powered by a connection to the building power source using a single connection cable.

All floor box locations are identified and laid out on top of the floor structure. The boxes are then cut into and mounted to any corner of any floor panel.
The cabling is installed under adjacent floor panels

The floor box is completed with matching carpet lid insert or matching Black plastic insert.
The entire electrical system has the following certifications & approvals:

-
UL File # 90338 / Code – QQVX / Manufactured Wiring System Approved
-
National Electrical Code, Article 604 & 300-22C Approved
-
CSA & CUL Approved

Communication Services
are integrated into the floor structure using the same floor boxes
shown previously, for electrical services. Each floor box provides two standard communication outlet mounting locations.

Our typical system includes communication connector mounting plates as required and optional RJ 45 Cat 6 connectors. Client provided
connectors can be accomodated.
Installation is accomplished by removing and replacing adjacent floor panels providing access to the floor box sides, placing cabling under the floor to and through the communication plates.

Connecting the cables to the connectors and snapping them into the communication plate and screw mounted to the outlet opening.
